Calling for the focus on militancy and on protection of the people, Deputy Inspector General of Police North Kashmir Range, Shri V. K. Birdi accompanied by SSP Sopore Shri Harmeet Singh Mehta, directed the Police officers to further fine tune their anti militancy operations and also keep a check on social crimes.
DIG NKR shri V.K Birdi has directed the officers to work with more dedication to consolidate the peaceful atmosphere in their respective areas. The officers of Police District Sopore apprised the DIG NKR about the Security Scenario, Crime Control, community Policing and anti-militancy operations in their respective jurisdictions.
DIG NKR while chairing a darbar of Jawans at DPL Sopore heard the police personnel patiently and assured them that their genuine problems would be looked into on priority. He said that welfare of jawans has always been priority and added that more welfare schemes have been introduced to benefit the jawans and for their families in recent times. He however, impressed up them to work with dedication and devotion to ensure a sense of security and peace among the Public.
The DIGP NKR also visited Police Station Sopore & Tarzoo and interacted with traders federation Sopore, and assured them that their genuine problems would be solved on priority basis.
